It is a very good program, and is evidence-based. However, it costs $3,000 per physician per year, which is more than we are willing to pay.

We did far more than what the program offers within my group, using the resources within the EMR, and at a small fraction of the cost.

We learned how to do quality improvement work, our FHN admin found out how to fix problems, and we increased our degree of EMR implementation.

Outsourcing Quality Improvement programs does work; what you lose by doing that is learning how to do it yourself, for your group.

I recognize that not everyone can do these types of projects; many of us are so overwhelmed with day to day practice that doing more is simply not practical. That is when outsourcing becomes something to consider.

MichelleMichelle Greiverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15528486116262255346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20382865.post-16829163259169818792008-09-08T15:45:00.000-04:002008-09-08T15:45:00.000-04:00Hello Dr. Greiver,I am not 100% sure what it is yo...Hello Dr. Greiver,

I am not 100% sure what it is you exactly need in a program, but if you are looking for something report functionality and tracking of A1Cs, BPs, etc. Check out P-PROMPT, it is a Chronic Disease and Prevention management registry and just might be what you are looking for.

Cheers,

JustinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
